Each year at the WUC Design Degree Show a number of awards go to students that have shown excellence in particular areas. These awards are generously sponsored by industry/course-specific sponsors.

BricsCAD by Hexagon
Most Innovative Digital Rendering
BricsCAD, made by Hexagon, is modern CAD software with built in AI tools that recognise your intent and help you optimise your drawings. It uses traditional CAD toolbars and commands to create DWG drawings in 2D and 3D.
BricsCAD are sponsoring the LAGD Awards for Most Innovative Digital Rendering, one for undergraduate and one for postgraduate.

Best Use of Hard Landscape Materials

Returning for 2022, CED Stone Group are sponsoring the award for the Best Use of Hard Landscape Materials.
Representatives from CED Stone will evaluate all of the LAGD students' work to choose their winner, which is quite a task! The winning student will have shown real flair and creativity in their use of hard landscaping materials.
CED specialise in the supply of natural stone paving and facilitate the use of stone throughout the landscape and construction industries.

The Essex Gardens Trust People's Choice Award was voted for by the visiting public at the studio exhibition (11-15 May).
EGT shares its love of gardens and landscapes, their design, making, history and the stories that surround them; and it works to foster that love in others by organising events for the interest and enjoyment of their members and the wider public.

Gillespies once again chose one LAGD student with the award for Best Exhibition Piece, but they were also keen to give some commendations.
Gillespies deliver transformative landscape design, urban design, masterplanning and landscape planning. Their mission is to help create and transform places so they offer real meaning and value to the people that will use them.

THE ART AND DESIGN STUDIO
The Art and Design Studio Prize
The Art and Design Studio run a range of relaxed and informal art and craft classes to suit A Level students and adults of all levels of ability, ranging from portfolio building workshops to 12-week courses.
The Art and the Environment students have the chance to win the Art and Design Studio prize as part of this year's Design Degree Show.
