BA (Hons) Contemporary Art & Design
BA (Hons) Art and the Environment
Certificate of Higher Education in Art and the Environment

Welcome to this portal to the exhibition by students from Writtle University College’s Contemporary Art & Design and Art & the Environment courses.  Within the exhibition there is an impressive range of novel themes,  many technical innovations have been explored, and the artworks on display show a wide range of influences that mix and meet in unusual, exciting ways, and this has all being achieved in challenging circumstances that the students have adapted to extremely well.

In addition to creating the work that you see within their virtual exhibition, the students have taken responsibility for the context in which their practice will be seen, which ended up being somewhat different to what they initially planned. They took the lead in planning and delivering all aspects of the exhibition, physical and then virtual: curating the layout and then building an interactive 3D virtual exhibition website, liaising with sponsors and managing budgets, designing the promotional material, filming their ‘art chat’ series, publicising the event through press releases and social media, and much more.

All the Art & Design staff wish them the very best for the future, although we know that they have the dedication, ability and creativity to create their own good luck.

Course Team:

Sam Humphreys (Course Manager), Pryle Behrman, Professor Peter Hobson, Steve Jeyes, Liz Murray, Steve Terry.

The Contemporary Art & Design students have created their own exhibition website where you will be able to see the results of their creative labours. Within this website you'll also discover their custom built Interactive 3D Virtual Exhibition.
