BSc (Hons) Landscape and Garden Design
Relationships and connections between social, ecological and cultural systems awareness within the climate emergency underpin the range of work in this exhibition. The final year design project enables students to showcase their knowledge of spatial design theories, ecological systems thinking in all scales from garden, urban to larger scale masterplanning through innovative design solutions.
The individual projects shown here reflect the student’s research interests in landscape architecture and garden design. They encompass investigations of exterior space as an interaction with the built environment and social and ecological systems in local and neighbourhood contexts, through to larger public gardens in urban or rural settings. The projects may differ in idea and situation but all are considered through regional, local and inevitably human scales. These design endeavours collectively express the visions, aspirations and dreams of today’s graduate designers for a better environment in the future.
Writtle Design would also like to recognise and thank all teaching staff, support staff and professional partners who have contributed to the student learning experience.
