Woodland Wellbeing
An ecology influenced urban educational play space for recovering children's happiness
The decline of our children's health and wellbeing is one of the most prevalent issues of our time.
The current pandemic has exacerbated the situation, with more children forced to spend time indoors disconnected from the natural world.
Woodland Wellbeing aims to provide a play space where children can directly connect with nature delivering it to their doorstep. A school playground invites a captive audience where children are encouraged to play outdoors in their morning, lunch and afternoon breaktimes. By providing this new landscape typology for all inner-city school playgrounds, children will consciously be in touch with nature.
