Blurring the Boundary Between Streets and Park
Many children have been encouraged by their parents to stay indoors (Souther Brown, 2015). Nature-Deficit syndrome is one of the problems for children have a lack of engagement with nature (Black, 2012). It contributes to reduced use of senses, obesity, attention difficulties, and emotional and physical illnesses. Children need contact with nature. This project encourages physical activity that supports exploration of and intense connection of nature and enhances different usage and accessibility into the park through the blurring the edge design which make the park safer by improving sightlines.
