Reconnecting the broken relationship between People and Nature

People and Nature is a delicate relationship, one of which has been prevalent in recent news and events. We have treated nature poorly, and in her response, we see our effects on the world.

The planet is warming at an unprecedented rate, seeing sea levels rise faster over the past 100 years, with the frequency and intensity of heavy precipitation events increasing too, We have damaged the United Kingdom’s resilience to flooding by degrading the environment, for instance, draining peat bogs, removing hedgerows, destroying salt marshes, concreting green spaces in urban areas and building on flood plains, we have undermined the ability of the natural environment to cope

Wetlands are areas of marsh, fen, peatland or water, whether natural or artificial, permanent or temporary, with Constructed Wetlands  improving the ecological health of surface water systems by being used to intercept polluted rainfall runoff, prior to discharge into the natural environment.
