Art by Kayley Passingham - BA (Hons) Art and the Environment

WELCOME

Welcome to the Writtle University College Design Degree Show 2021.

This virtual exhibition features the work of students from 1st and 2nd year undergraduate Art and the Environment, and Landscape Architecture & Garden Design students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You can find all of the exhibitions in the menu or via the links below. You can also see last year's exhibition in the Show Achive.

During the first 48 hours of the exhibition you will be able to take part in the Essex Gardens Trust People's Choice Award by voting for your favourite Landscape Architecture & Garden Design (LAGD) student projects (undergraduate and postgraduate). Voting runs from 12pm on Wednesday 26th May to 12pm on Friday 28th May (UTC+1).

There are more LAGD Awards that will be selected by the other show sponsors CED Stone Group and Gillespies. The Art and the Environment Awards for this year's show are The Art and Design Studio Award, the Turner Prize for Innovation and Design, and The Art and Environment Prize. You can see the sponsors below and on the Student Awards page.

If you have any questions or comments for the students about their work, you can add to the comments section at the bottom of their page or connect with them using one of their networking links.

And finally, the artwork used for all promotional material created for the WUC Design Degree Show 2021 was created by BA (Hons) Art and the Environment student Kayley Passingham, who won our annual student art competition.

VIRTUAL EXHIBITIONS

Following on from the success of last year, we are again holding a Virtual Exhibition for 2021. As always we are highlighting the breadth of skill and creativity from our amazing students, but we would also like to recognise their resiliance and adaptability, in what has proven to be a challenging couple of years.

This year's exhibition features the work of undergraduate students from Art and the Environment (years 1 and 2), along with the work of undergraduate and postgraduate students from Landscape Architecture & Garden Design. We're also showcasing work from the Cross Disciplinary Projects for the first time, which has been created by students from across all Writtle Design courses.
